The program combines two completely different areas in terms of skiing, snow, and infrastructure. That is why after many years of work we have settled with this program. This is our main offer for the winter season.
In a quiet, unvisited corner, at an altitude of 2,300 meters, there is a cozy yurt camp. A yurt is a traditional dwelling of nomadic Kyrgyz, and is still made by hand. A dozen white yurts are installed in a beautiful clearing among a spruce forest, next to a crystal clear stream. They fit perfectly into the concept of the Kyrgyz Mountains. The heat, just like that of the nomads, comes from a wood-burning stove installed in each yurt. The camp can only be reached by snowmobile or skis. This is what guests have been coming here for many years. One-day backcountry trips begin right from the threshold of the yurt.
You are accompanied by professional guides who know the area thoroughly and will ensure your safety, assistance and radio communication.
The two parallel valleys have many different options for skiing and splitboarding. For snowboarders, a splitboard is preferable, because snowshoes have proven themselves to be not very good when climbing on the Issyk-Kul snow.
There are both gentle slopes for freeride beginners and steeper ones for advanced skiers. You can also lay your line through a vast forest area. And for those who want thrills, there are extreme descents in the couloirs between the rocks. Here you need to understand the full degree of danger and listen to the advice of the guides.
In the evening, you go down to the already heated yurts. Each yurt has 4 beds, electric lighting and sockets for charging your electronic devices. There is also a yurt-dining room, toilets. Before you even have time to take off your boots, a friendly team of staff will treat you to barbecue and beer. And a professional chef will later feed you a delicious dinner. After a hard frosty day, it is nice to warm up in a real hot steam bath. Or just wash off the sweat with warm water.
The second destination in the program is the village of Jyrgalan, founded on coal mines. This is probably the most popular freeride destination in Kyrgyzstan. You can talk endlessly about its snow and skiing capabilities. Of course, it is better to see and touch everything yourself.
