Kyrgyzstan is a country of mountain lakes. You can find a small lake almost in every valley. Each of them is individually, unlike other. Some lakes have hidden among spruce forests, some framed by glaciers. There are many moraine lakes among the glaciers sediments. We suggest you take a walk for one such lake.
Kol-Tor Lake is a moraine lake at 2800 meters altitude. The trail there passes along a beautiful gorge through the spruce forest. On the way from Bishkek to the mountains we will visit archeological and architectural monument - the Burana tower. This is one of the biggest historical monuments in Kyrgyzstan. Also we will see a beautiful Kegety waterfall.
8 a.m. Leaving Bishkek
Transfer from Bishkek to Tokmok to the Burana tower takes about an hour. This is a good chance to visit this historic monument. You can visit the museum, to see the statue and stone millstone. Well, of course, climb the spiral staircase to the top of the tower. Hour is enough to explore the old fort.
Then we go by car to the mountains. Soon we will leave our car in the mountain gorge. Then we will have a walk. The path ascends along the river through the beautiful woods higher and higher. After a while you will see juniper bushes. After 3-4 hours of walk we go to the next hill, and in front of us offer views of beautiful blue mountain lake. Walk around the lake, lunch and then go down the same path to the car. But our tour is not finished yet. The next spot is Kegety waterfall. It is located just 100 meters from the road and reaches a height of 30 meters.
Now you can relax in the car while the driver will take you to the house.
